The title comes from Charles Spurgeon which reads: "Your Redeemer traverses the rugged path of suffering, along which He went with heaving heart and heavy footsteps, that He might pave a royal road of mercy for His enemies." I love that image because I know that's me. I was once an enemy of God, completely undeserving of any favor from God. But because God is a merciful God, He didn't just save me, He put me on His royal road to be called His son (Gal 4:4-7). And so I want to spend my life telling others about this wondrous mercy of God. I want to point them to this royal road.
I have decided to begin blogging again. It's been about 2 years since I last blogged, and there were a number of reasons which I stopped. Perhaps one day, I'll share why I did. But after reading this blog post at Desiring God, I figure those are some good reasons to pick up blogging again.
